When Las Vegas’ first major professional sports franchise, the Golden Knights hockey team, arrived last fall, Zachary WalkerLieb, 29, became an immediate fan and season ticket holder. And that was before he became the preferred relocation specialist for the players and coaches. He connected with the Golden Knights after winning a dinner with the president of the team at a fundraiser. A fourth-generation Las Vegan, WalkerLieb had a knack for selling the city to newcomers, having volunteered with the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance giving tours to out-of-town businesspeople considering a relocation. Immersed in community life, WalkerLieb coaches basketball in a disadvantaged part of the city and started a business networking group called Focus 702 (the local area code), which provides support for a range of schools and charities.
