President Kasper informed NAR's Leadership Team that she recently received a threat to disclose a past personal, non-financial matter, and felt that, in the circumstances, it was best for the organization that she step down.
Pending-home sales rose in the Northeast, Midwest, and West, but fell in the South. All regions saw year-over-year declines in transactions.
"Our association will be filing detailed comments laying out our strong objections to this proposal. We want to set the record straight that AHPs offer high-quality, low-cost health coverage options to employees of small businesses and self-employed individuals, including real estate professionals," said NAR President Tracy Kasper.
