The Past, Present, and Future of Fair Housing
April 15, 2pm Eastern
On April 15, in partnership with the Memorial Foundation, builders of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., NAR sponsored a special Facebook Live event, “The Past, Present, and Future of Fair Housing.” Soledad O’Brien, an award-winning documentarian, journalist, speaker, author, and philanthropist, hosted the event. Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Marcia Fudge was the headline speaker.
Tipping the SCALE: How Alternative Data Promote or Impede Fair Lending Goals
April 8, 1pm – 2pm Eastern
On April 8, 2021, NAR hosted a virtual event, moderated by award-winning real estate journalist Michele Lerner, which featured a Q&A presentation on the research by authors, Vanessa G. Perry and Ann B. Schnare. The Q&A presentation was followed by a panel of speakers discussing what others are doing to address and understand the racial homeownership gap and the broader environment related to access to credit, fair lending, and pandemic implications.
