Resources on the latest changes to MLS policy are available to members, brokerage leaders, MLS executives and consumers at facts.realtor.
What are the Fair Housing and Code of Ethics requirements?
REALTORS® are required to complete Fair Housing/Anti-Bias training and Code of Ethics training upon becoming an NAR member and every three years thereafter. These are two separate trainings. For Fair Housing, qualified training must be at least two hours of instructional time; for the Code of Ethics, training must be at least two hours and 30 minutes of instructional time.
Both must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by NAR and can be completed through NAR’s online courses or another method, such as online or in classes hosted by a state or local association.
For more information on these requirements or to check their status, members can visit Fair Housing Training Requirement or Code of Ethics Training.
Where can members find discounted programs and products?
A full list of NAR REALTOR Benefits® partners can be found at NAR REALTOR Benefits®. Also, certain tools, products and resources are available free or at a discount every month; bookmark Right Tools, Right Now to see each month’s featured offers.
What are the annual NAR dues, and what are the benefits?
For 2026, members pay national dues of $156 plus a $45 consumer advertising campaign special assessment. State and local dues vary according to location. In return, members gain professional property reports, advocacy and marketing materials, education, health care benefits, networking, legal resources and other benefits— which offer far more value than the cost of membership.
