Melanie Barker (SRS, AHWD, C2EX, RENE) serves California, Hawaii, and Guam as the National Association of REALTORS®’ 2026 Region 13 Regional Vice President. She is the broker-owner of Summit Real Estate, specializing in residential, land, and property management.
Melanie has served at all three levels of the REALTOR® organization. At NAR, she served as a Director for 13 years; chaired the Research, Federal Finance and Housing, and Public Policy Coordinating committees; and served as 2019 Liaison for Federal Issues and Public Policy, among other roles. Melanie was inducted into the NAR RPAC Hall of Fame in 2021.
At the state level, she served as 2024 President of the California Association of REALTORS®; chair of the Legislative and Federal committees; and Liaison for Public Policy. In recognition of her contributions, C.A.R. has honored her with the 2017 Leadership Award and the 2024 REALTOR® of the Year award.
Locally, Melanie has been active in the Fresno Association of REALTORS®, where she has served as a Director and Treasurer. She received the 2016 President’s Award and was honored as REALTOR® of the Year in 2017.
Beyond her real estate career, Melanie is deeply committed to her community. She served as 2019 President of the Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce and as Director, Treasurer, and President of the Mountain Area Youth Organization between 2012 and 2025. Melanie is a proud U.S. Navy Veteran.
Melanie lives in Oakhurst, California with her husband, Jim Cullen, to whom she has been married for 10 years.
