Most respondents who indicate they’ve lived in a haunted house say they weren’t totally surprised to experience paranormal phenomena, the study notes. Sixty percent say they had heard rumors about odd experiences happening in the home before they purchased, and 43% say they had actually heard the place was haunted. If the home had a death or crime take place there, respondents were more likely to report paranormal activity.
