Wade Corbett’s life mantra comes from the late poet Maya Angelou: “If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.” At 19, he bought his first home in a troublesome transaction that convinced him to become an agent. “It worked out. But it was very difficult,” says Corbett, CRS, SFR, now 26. He knew he could do a better job. Success didn’t come overnight; he was visiting estate auctions and buying cars and furniture to flip for income. By 2012, Corbett was flipping houses with two intentions: to help flush out distressed properties in the market and to fund his next ventures—Gray Wolf Development LLC and Gray Wolf Homes LLC—which he founded in 2014. Today, his primary focus is developing a residential subdivision in the community where he grew up. Last year he built 18 homes and developed 87 lots.
