Out of more than 2,000 applicants to the prestigious Actors Theatre of Louisville in 2011, Sabrina Conti, was among only 20 selected for the coveted apprenticeship in Kentucky. “It validated that I am a professional actor,” says Conti, 28. But after finishing the nine-month program, she realized the actor’s life wasn’t for her. In her next gig, real estate, she realized she could apply the psychology part of her acting studies to help create a relationship-based business. She characterizes herself as “a sponge trying to soak up knowledge to help as many people as possible.” She is in constant contact with her clients. “I always wanted to be a professional friend. I discovered in real estate that is a real thing.” The real estate stage plays to her strengths and is more vast than she realized: “My audience is continuous and grows daily.”
