The Relentless Competitor
Jaime Andrey Bustamante moved to the United States in 1992 with a modest command of English and a lifelong goal of playing professional soccer. After graduating from high school in 1992, he completed one year of college than traveled to Columbia to pursue his dream but it wasn't long before he was back in the United States pursuing another dream: Financial independence.
Still Dreaming Big
After earning a RE/MAX 100 percent award his first year, the rookie had to regroup to survive the 2007 decline. He thrived by gaining mastery in the short-sale and REO markets. His family team closed 160 transaction sides in 2009 and is aiming for 500 this year. Always goal-oriented, Bustamante says he'd eventually like to found a national franchise.
Focus on the Positive
"All things are created twice: first in your mind, then in real life," says Bustamante. In other words, keep a positive mental attitude, and surround yourself with like-minded people.
