Hail to the Condo Queen
Danai Mattison, 25, has been working in real estate since before she could drive. At 16, she began assisting her father’s top-producing team, earning her real estate license while in college. But independence beckoned; before she graduated, she joined a new home sales and marketing firm, working her way up from transaction manager to sales manager. She reached $20 million in sales the first year and soon decided she was ready to team up with her dad, a highly regarded association leader. “The legacy drives me to raise the bar higher,” she says. Mattison specializes in condo sales, so colleagues have nicknamed her the “D.C. Condo Queen,” a title that isn’t far-fetched: In 2005, she represented the capital in the nationally televised Miss Teen USA pageant.
