Lemonade Was Just the Start
Brandon Hunt exhibited entrepreneurial traits as a child—selling lemonade, baseball cards, and even cinnamon toothpicks. Later he sold shoes at a family-owned store in Salem, Ind. After college, Hunt and his girlfriend (now wife) moved to Arizona, where he met fellow Indiana University alum Bob Nachman of RE/MAX All Stars Realty, and his real estate career was launched.
Tech Pioneer
When REOs started flooding the market in 2007, Hunt created a network of fix-and-flip crews to get homes market-ready quickly. His company manages projects from acquisition to resale for his investor clients. The brokerage he founded has an in-house staging division that staged 55 homes in its first year. Hunt creates videos, promoting area communities and Phoenix living.
Don't Take Shortcuts
"In the fix-and-flip market, you can throw a Band-Aid on this or put lipstick on that, but it'll come back to bite you," he says. "I don't believe in taking shortcuts. If I'm putting my name on it to sell it, I want to make sure that home is looking amazing and that it's going to be a great home for someone."
