Surviving and Thriving
Alicyn DelZoppo, 28, was shaped—but hardly conquered—by an event that took place before her first birthday. She was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a cancer most commonly found in young children. By the time she was five, she had endured chemotherapy and surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. The experience inspired her to study public health and epidemiology at Boston University. After graduation, DelZoppo joined her mom as part of the top-performing Creig Northrop Team. Working on the team, she says, has taught her the importance of “loyalty, a strong work ethic, and dedication” to customers and colleagues. Her dedication to the industry is apparent: She has served on several association committees and currently chairs her local Young Professionals Network. Health and wellness also remain central in DelZoppo’s life; she volunteers at a local hospice and chairs her local American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
