Please be advised that this is a one-time award; nominations for individuals who have previously received the IRM of the Year Award will not be considered.
This award is granted to a distinguished member of the International REALTOR® Member community who has helped to promote the REALTOR® organization and brand outside of the United States. Only NAR International REALTOR® Members (IRMs) are eligible for this award. US-based members are not eligible for this award.
Requirements
Nominees must:
- Be an International REALTOR® Member (IRM) in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS®
- Be an International REALTOR® Member (IRM) for a minimum of 2 years
- Promote the National Association of REALTORS® and the REALTOR® brand outside the United States. Examples include:
- REALTOR® logo/branding on website, business cards, other marketing materials
- Helped to bring NAR education/resources to home country/association
- Active in the Ambassador Association Program; hosted or participated in REALTOR® trade missions, etc.
- Have attended NAR NXT™ in past years
- Volunteer time/resources to NAR and/or home association
- Show commitment to the REALTORS® Code of Ethics
- Hold at least one NAR or NAR affiliate designation or certification
- Have not received the International REALTOR® Member of the Year Award
Nomination Process
- To submit your IRM of the Year award nomination, simply fill out the nomination form and email any additional materials to narglobe@nar.realtor.
- Self-nominations are accepted and welcome.
- All nominations must be received by Friday, September 11, 2026.
- Winner will be privately notified via email during the first week of October and announced during the International Reception and Awards Ceremony at NAR NXT™, in New Orleans, LA.
Candidates for the IRM of the year Award are first nominated by either a U.S.-based or international member of the REALTOR® community and then selected by an independent panel of real estate industry leaders once a year.

Recognition
The winner of the 2026 International REALTOR® Member of the Year will receive:
- Two FREE tickets to NAR's International Reception and Awards Ceremony event, where the winner will be recognized on stage
- A customized engraved award
- Recognition in NAR Global promotional channels as applicable
