Carole Maclure

Carole Maclure (ABRM,CRB), a REALTOR® from Olney, Maryland, was the 2019 National Association of REALTORS® liaison for Region 3, comprised of Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Carole began her real estate career in 1980. She is the Vice President and Branch Manager of RE/MAX Advantage Realty located in Columbia and Ellicott City, where she specializes in residential real estate.

At the national level, Carole has chaired the RPAC Trustees Federal Disbursement Committee (2014), the Risk Management and License Law Forum (2010), and the Education Committee (2004). She has served as Maryland’s State Allocated Director on NAR’s Board of Directors since 2013.

Carole was president of the Maryland REALTORS® in 2008 and treasurer from 2010-2016. In 2015, she was honored with their Lifetime Achievement Award.

Carole is a member of the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS® (GCAAR). She served as president of the Montgomery County Association of REALTORS® (MCAR) from 1997-1998. During that time, she helped lead MCAR and the Washington, D.C. Association of REALTORS® (WDCAR) in NAR’s first cross-state local association merger to form GCAAR.

Carole is a longtime advocate for housing reform and federally-assisted housing programs. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Better Business Bureau, and Habitat for Humanity.
