Home showings in May 2020 were still below last year’s level, but activity picked up compared to April, according to data from SentriLock®, LLC, a lockbox company.

Home showings were down by 20% in May 2020 from one year ago, but this is a slower rate compared to the 50% year-over-year decline in home showings in April 2020.

The South region had the smallest year-over-year decline in showings, at 9%, while the Northeast region had the largest decline, at 46%.

The diffusion index stood at 6.8 in May 2020, with 6.8% of about 200 MLS boards reporting a year-over-year increase in showings with Sentrilock® lockboxes.
