Foot Traffic: IRES Regional MLS (Boulder, CO)

  • Foot traffic provides a strong indication of future home sales. SentriLock, LLC. provides NAR Research with monthly data on the number of showings.
  • Foot traffic fell roughly 18% over the 12-month period ending in April in the area covered by the IRES Regional MLS (Boulder). April was the 3rd consecutive month of falling year-over-year foot traffic.
  • Tight inventories and rising prices contributed to limit growth in foot traffic at a time when buyer interest is peaking due to record low mortgage rates and steady job growth.
