2012 NAR Member Profile: Repeat Business by Experience

  • The typical REALTOR® earned 19 percent of their business from past clients and customers—a share that is consistent from the prior year.
  • As expected, experienced REALTORS® reported a greater share of repeat business from clients or referrals.
  • Repeat business has also held steady from the prior year at 20 percent.
  • Repeat business was more common among REALTORS® with more experience (a median of 23 percent for those with 16 or more years of experience, compared to three percent for those with two years of experience or less).
