Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® Wins 2018 Diamond Global Achievement Award

The National Association of REALTORS® awarded the DIAMOND Global Achievement Program Award to the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® Global Business Council at the Annual Conference & Expo in Boston, MA. The Association staff and volunteer leaders have demonstrated six consecutive years of consistently high levels of achievement in the five evaluated categories: Business Plan, Marketing & Communication, Events/Education, Outreach and Benchmarking.

SILVAR began their global initiatives in 2012, growing their current council out of their Cultural Diversity Committee (2007). In those 6 years, they have made great strides to make their general membership more aware of cultural diversity and have spent a lot of time helping to show them how to connect with international clients through robust networking and education programs. Their public relations strategy is strong both in print and online publications, and in social media. They submitted articles to 5 separate local media outlets and those articles have prompted inquiries from readers across the United States. Not only do they help the local members understand the diversity within the Silicon Valley, they also maintain ties with CREBA, its cooperating association in the Philippines and continues to strengthen its relations with other multicultural real estate associations. Last year alone they held 2 inbound trade missions and 1 outbound trade mission. In 2018, 230 out of their 5,200+ members are part of their global business council.

SILVAR intends to continue its commitment to global real estate because it believes it is an important component of the real estate industry in Silicon Valley. The demographics of SILVAR as an association reflects demographics of the Silicon Valley region and housing market.

2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, the SILVAR Global Business Council received the Platinum Achievement Award.

Congrats, SILVAR Global Business Council!
