The National Association of REALTORS® awarded the 2019 Platinum Global Achievement Program Award to the Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS®’s NVAR GLOBAL at the REALTORS® Conference & Expo in San Francisco, CA. The Association staff and volunteer leaders demonstrated high levels of achievement in the five evaluated categories: Business Plan, Marketing & Communication, Events/Education, Outreach, and Benchmarking.

In addition to excelling in the above categories, NVAR continues to exemplify what it means to be a truly global association. From having eight staff members that have earned the CIPS designation, to creating the first-ever “Global Connect: Welcome to Northern Virginia” event during their association’s annual conference. In 2019 it didn’t stop there. They also provided over 30 global offerings to their membership in one year, and their CEO, Ryan Conrad, connected with the Chinese American Regional Chamber of Commerce in Northern Virginia to work together to promote REALTORS® in the Northern Virginia marketplace in addition to serving on the Board of Directors for the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce. 

In 2018, 2017 and 2016, NVAR Global received the Platinum Achievement Award. Prior to that, in 2015 and 2011, they received the Gold Achievement Award.
