Christian Barnes is president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Kansas City Homes in Kansas City, Kan. Barnes first joined her company in 2007 and ascended the leadership ladder, ultimately becoming the majority owner in November 2020. She is the highest-ranking female owner within the BHGRE network and the fourth highest-ranking female owner across the entire Anywhere family of brands. Leading more than 350 agents, Barnes says her biggest priority is preparing them for the ever-changing real estate market. Barnes has held leadership roles at the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.
Lamont Breland is broker-owner of Breland Group, REALTORS®, in Louisville, Ky. Breland’s company, which he formed in 1995, has 51 agents. He served as the 2016 president of Kentucky REALTORS® and is the 2024 chair of NAR’s REALTOR® Safety Advisory Committee. Breland also is a founding member of the Louisville Metro Police Foundation. He has two daughters who work in the real estate business, which is one reason why safety has elevated to the forefront of hos consciousness, Breland says. He's an active member of his church and has been married to his wife, Stacy, since 1987.
