Peerless Mentor
Davis Pemstein, 29, lives for teaching others. “It means a lot to me to see others succeed,” he says. Pemstein, a longtime customer and guest services professional at country clubs, hotels, and restaurants, serves as an instructor at his office and voluntarily mentors new agents. The emotional rewards can also pay dividends: 30 to 40 percent of his business comes from partnering with other agents at his firm on sales. He’s built trust with his colleagues who know they can rely on him. The office isn’t the only place Pemstein enjoys giving back either. He regularly volunteers with the San Francisco Association of REALTORS® on its Welcome Home Project, which connects formerly homeless families with basic furnishings and household items when they move into new homes.
