2026 Data Center Impact: The Data Behind the Data Centers, Nadia Evangelou
A county-level analysis found that U.S. counties with higher concentrations of data centers tend to have higher home values, stronger long-term job growth, and higher household incomes, though local market impacts vary and should be evaluated using property- and market-specific data.

A National Association of REALTORS® survey of 2,357 REALTORS® found mixed perceptions about the residential impacts of data centers, stronger expectations for increased commercial demand and property values, and significant concerns about energy use, water consumption, and local infrastructure impacts.
