Victoria Gillespie is the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for the National Association of REALTORS®. In that role, Gillespie oversees marketing, content, creative, digital, and public relations strategy to drive member engagement and satisfaction and strengthen NAR's relationship with consumers.
Her team produces NAR’s major conferences and dozens of special meetings; the association’s digital and social presence; REALTOR® Magazine; and the Good Neighbor Awards. Gillespie also has creative and financial oversight of NAR’s $50 million consumer advertising, driving awareness for the $5 billion REALTOR® brand. The current campaign, “That’s Who We R” (creative agency: Havas Chicago) has received accolades from REALTORS®, consumers, and the advertising community. She is staff executive to the association's Consumer Communications Committee, which oversees the ad campaign, as well the Strategic Thinking Advisory Committee, which in 2019 set a new strategic framework and in 2020 introduced a new mission and vision for NAR.
Improving NAR’s member communications was a key goal of NAR leadership when Gillespie joined the association staff in October 2018. She has guided a transformation that includes a new group structure and an emphasis on bringing association-wide messaging and visual identity into alignment. In 2020, her team rolled out new NAR brand standards; now, work is underway on a new social media ambassador group that will bring together NAR’s Member Communications Committee with other social influencers to amplify NAR's messaging and improve two-way communication with members.
Gillespie has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate and financial services sectors, most recently as senior vice president of enterprise marketing and communications for Northwest Federal Credit Union. Before that, she was senior vice president of the REALTORS® Federal Credit Union, and for a decade, she also owned and operated her own real estate company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Penn State University and an MBA with a concentration in finance from the American University.
