Steve Brown, a REALTOR® from Dayton, Ohio, served as the 2014 President of the National Association of REALTORS®. NAR, The Voice for Real Estate®, is America’s largest trade association, representing more than 1 million REALTORS® involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.

A REALTOR® for more than 40 years, Steve is co-owner of Irongate Inc., REALTORS®, a full service real estate firm with six offices and 325 agents that includes relocation and property management divisions as well as in-house title, and insurance partners.

A selling broker, Steve has received the "Pinnacle of Performance" or "Award of Excellence" sales award from the Ohio Association of REALTORS® every year since their inception in 2002.

Steve has held NAR leadership positions since 2004. He was the 2012 First Vice President, the Large Brokerages Liaison in 2010, Vice President of Committees in 2009, and Public Policy National Liaison in 2008. He served as Chairperson of the Land Use, Property Rights and Environmental Committee in 2004. In 2007, Steve chaired the Legislative Forum, and in 2005, he was the regional vice president for Region VI, serving Ohio and Michigan. Steve chaired NAR's Land Use, Property Rights and Environmental Committee in 2004.

At the state and local levels, Steve served as president of the Ohio Association of REALTORS® in 2002 and as President of the Dayton Area Board of REALTORS® in 1995. He continues to be active in both bodies.

From 2005-2010 he served as a member, and later chair, of the Ohio Division of Real Estate's Education and Research Advisory Committee.

Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Steve is a graduate of Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs and holds graduate degrees in theology and counseling. He is an active member of the Dayton community, supporting many local arts, charitable, and religious organizations.
