New Promotions, Hires & Appointments

Sherry Chris, former president of Real Living Network Services, hired as chief operations officer, Prudential CA/NV/TX Realty, Pleasanton, Calif.

Ted Dettmer named president, McBride & Son Homes, St. Louis. The position is effective Jan. 1. Dettmer also will continue to serve as president of the McBride & Son Enterprises’ Vantage Homes division. John Eilermann, president, McBride & Son Homes, promoted to CEO, McBride & Son Enterprises effective Jan. 1. Rick Sullivan, chairman of the board and CEO, McBride & Son Enterprises, will be chairman of the board.

Kathi Feczko promoted to senior vice president, central region, operations and affinity services, Cendant Mobility, Danbury, Conn.

J.D. (Jay) Rinehart Jr. named president and CEO, Rinehart Realty Corp., Rock Hill, S.C.

Diane Turton, CRSŪ, CRB, president and broker-owner of Diane Turton, REALTORSŪ, Point Pleasant Beach, N.J., named Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 for New Jersey in the real estate category during the 18th annual Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards ceremony. The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award recognizes outstanding business owners. The program honors entrepreneurs through regional, national, and global award programs in more than 100 cities and 35 countries.

New Companies & Expansions

Bordeaux Development LLC, Charlotte, N.C., expanded to provide commercial real estate brokerage services under the company name Bordeaux Properties, specializing in owner and tenant representation for real estate owners, tenants, and investors of retail, mixed-use, general office, and medical office properties. Richard Fuqua is broker-owner.

Karla Cino, REALTORSŪ, Fort Lee, N.J., opened for business as a full-service brokerage serving the residential, commercial, and investment markets. Karla K. Cino, ABRŪ, GRI, is broker-owner.

Keller Williams Realty, Austin, Texas, opened a new office in Marysville, Wash. Roy VanWinkle is broker-owner.

Mediano Real Estate, Medford, Mass., opened for business as a full-service brokerage that also offers real estate legal services. Lisa Mediano is broker-owner.

Naert Realty, St. Louis, opened for business as a full-service residential brokerage. Joe Naert is broker-owner.

Realty Executives International, Phoenix, opened a new office, Realty Executives Bayshores, in Daphne, Ala. Anthony Kaiser, Bart Kaiser, and Matt McAllister are owners and Cynthia McAllister, ABRŪ, is broker-owner.

Ruby Hill Realty, Pleasanton, Calif., has affiliated with Prudential California Realty, Pleasanton, Calif., and will now operate as Prudential California Realty at Ruby Hill. Janet Cristiano, CRB, is broker-manager.

Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates Inc., Parsippany, N.J., awarded exclusive master franchise rights in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, and Anguilla. The master franchisees—Central American Premiere Properties S.A. (Costa Rica); Dominican Realty (Dominican Republic); Damianos Realty Company Limited (Bahamas); and Professional Realty Service Limited (Anguilla)—will develop a system of real estate offices in each respective country that will operate as part of the Sotheby’s International Realty network.

Take Me Home Real Estate LLC, Kersey, Colo., opened for business as a full-service brokerage specializing in residential and commercial real estate, property management, relocation, and seniors in northern Colorado. Lori Jarrett is broker-owner.

Weichert, REALTORSŪ, Morris Plains, N.J., opened new franchise offices in five states. The new affiliate offices include: Weichert, REALTORSŪ-DJ Real Estate, Queens, N.Y. (Livia Jovic is broker-owner); Weichert, REALTORSŪ-First Realty Group, Philadelphia (Darryl K. Miller is broker-owner); Weichert, REALTORSŪ-Team Metro, Hickory, N.C. (Steve Boyd, Melissa McEachern,and Kim Smith, ABRŪ, e-PRO, are owners); Weichert, REALTORSŪ-On The Circle, Sarasota, Fla. (Burt Zupa is owner); and Weichert, REALTORSŪ-Hoey Group, Villas, N.J. Windermere Real Estate, Seattle, opened two new affiliate offices: Windermere Real Estate/Realty Network Team in Seattle’s International District (Michael Lai and Veeny Van are owners and Lai is managing broker) and Windermere Real Estate/Rancho Mirage-The Club at Morningside in Rancho Mirage, Calif. New Product & Service Offerings

Prudential Preferred Properties, Chicago, has implemented a new search tool called Google Earth. Google Earth is a new application that is an enhanced and upgraded version of the Google Keyhole 3D satellite imagery product. Users can “fly” to different locations around the globe, search for listings, get and print directions, find points of interest, and plan sightseeing. The program can be used to locate anything from shopping areas and gas stations to elevations and landmarks, and the terrain can be tilted to view the area from all perspectives.
