New Promotions, Hires & Appointments

CCIM Institute, Chicago, elected five new members to its Education Foundation Board of Directors. B.K. Allen, Potomac Falls, Va.; Adrian A. Arriaga, McAllen, Texas; Martin Edwards, Memphis, Tenn.; Charles “Mac” McClure, Dallas; and Gary Ralston, Winter Park, Fla. CCIMs elected to the Board of Directors are responsible for the programs and fiscal integrity of the Foundation.

Cendant Corp., Parsippany, N.J., Real Estate Services Division honored with the “2005 Corporation of the Year Award” by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey. The company received the recognition for demonstrating “a substantial commitment” to the foundation by organizing employee-driven fundraisers, awareness campaigns, special events, and executive representation on its board of directors. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey grants the wishes of children who have a life-threatening medical condition.

Christy Budnick named executive vice president of real estate sales division, Prudential Network Realty, Jacksonville, Fla.

Kieran P. Quinn, chairman and CEO, Column Financial Inc., Atlanta, elected vice chair-elect, Mortgage Bankers Association, Washington, D.C.

Realty One Real Living, Cleveland, Relocation Services Division garnered the Award of Excellence, the Peak Producer Award, and the Million Dollar Club Award by RELO, a network of independent residential real estate companies that serve the relocation market.

Roderick Robinson named branch manager of the Harlem office, Dwelling Quest, New York City.

William Scavone hired as senior vice president, franchise sales and development, Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Morris Plains, N.J.

Tom Terry awarded “Rookie of the Year” by Prudential Northwest Properties’ West Portland Branch, Portland, Ore., for his sales production, customer service ratings, support of company internal services, and overall attitude and team spirit. The West Portland Branch also received first place in the Western region quarterly sales awards from Prudential Real Estate Affiliates Inc.

Weichert, REALTORS®, Morris Plains, N.J., recently honored for outstanding achievements in relocation referrals for 2004 by RELO, a network of independent residential real estate companies that serve the relocation market. Weichert was honored for its sixth consecutive year as the leading company in outgoing closed referrals (helping the most households complete successful relocations); received the Award of Excellence in the Outgoing Referral Production category for the most outgoing referrals per sales associate in 2004; received the Million Dollar Club Award for the most outgoing referral transactions with a sale price of more than $1 million; and received the Web site Traffic Generator Award for driving the most visits to RELO's public Web site.

New Companies & Expansions

Fuller Western Real Estate, Denver, opened a new office in La Veta, Colo. Steve Fuller is managing broker.

Gloria Nilson GMAC Real Estate, Middletown, N.J., and The Harry M. Lane Agency, Wall Township, N.J., merged. Connie Wombough is broker-owner.

Prudential Douglas Elliman, South Huntington, N.Y., opened a new office in The Hamptons. Dottie Herman, president and CEO, is broker-owner.

RE/MAX, Greenwood Village, Colo., opened its first franchise in Qatar, making it the 56th country in which the company has a presence. Zayed and Solah Al Jaidah, operating as Jaidah Brothers, are owners.

Weichert, REALTORS®, Morris Plains, N.J., opened five new franchise offices in five states. Since launching its first franchise in 2002, the company now has 138 offices in 16 states. The new offices are: Weichert, REALTORS®-Village Point, Boca Raton, Fla. (Richard Kerski and Lou Frangos are brokers-owners); Weichert, REALTORS®-Prestige Properties, Savannah, Ga., (Debbie Ryan is broker-owner); Weichert, REALTORS®-McDonald, North Canton, Ohio (Charles McDonald is broker-owner); Weichert, REALTORS®-Ruffino Real Estate, Milford, Pa. (Donna Ruffino is owner); Weichert, REALTORS®-Dean-Kelby, Charleston, S.C. (Rick Johnson and Bryan Crabtree are owners).

Windermere Real Estate, Seattle, opened a new office, Windermere Properties Inc., Los Angeles, its first office in California. Steve Kifer is broker and Kathryn Shafer and Tracey Broadman are owners.
