Joey B. Tucker

Joey B. Tucker (GRI, C2EX), an associate broker with Coldwell Banker Upchurch Realty, in Athens, Ga., was licensed in 2002 and obtained his broker’s license in 2006. He’s active at the local, state, and national levels.

At the Athens Area Association of REALTORS®, Joey has twice been named REALTOR® of the Year, in 2013 and 2016. Joey served as association president in 2011, Athens MLS president in 2008, and currently sits on the Athens Board of Directors. He’s chaired many of his board’s committees. 

At the Georgia Association of REALTORS®, Joey served as Immediate Past President and as a member of the Executive Committee, which he’s served for six years. He was Vice President of Governmental Affairs (2019), Vice President of Professional Development (2018), Vice President of Member and Public Services (2017), GRI Dean (2013), Chair of the GAR Young Professional Network from 2012 to 2014, and a Regional Director for Region 5.

He has served NAR as Member Services Liaison (2023), Chair of the Brokers Engagement Council, and sat on the Meetings and Conference Committee and the NAR YPN Advisory Group.

Joey is also an active member in his community. At the Chamber of Commerce, he is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Athens. He is also a member of the Athens Touchdown Club and the Classic City Young Professionals. He’s a past member of the Athens Young Professionals Advisory Committee for the Chamber, and a past member of the Athens Jaycees, for which he served as president in 2017. He’s a member of Athens First United Methodist Church.

Joey has been appointed by the mayor to serve on the Athens-Clarke County Land Bank Authority and the Hearings Board of Athens-Clarke County. He serves on the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission and is a member of the Athens Salvation Army board of directors.

Joey is an avid University of Georgia (UGA) fan and enjoys being the scoreboard operator for the UGA basketball teams. He has one daughter, Olivia.
