Impetus for Group's Formation:
The International Real Estate Section is dedicated to maximizing the ability of C.A.R. members to take advantage of the growing earnings potential associated with the increasing globalization of the real estate business.
The Real Estate Section maximizes the ability of CAR members to take advantage of the growing earnings potential associated with increasing globalization of real estate business. It strives to establish a significant leadership role for all levels of organized real estate within the international business community and hopes to attract and retain professional practitioners in the REALTOR® community.

The Section is somewhat self-supporting and is partially financed by its members. CAR partially subsidizes the effort with staff time.

Free marketing of International website to foreign Real Estate organizations. Free e-mail newsletter covering issues of international housing economics, international initiatives, notices of transactional customs abroad, tax laws, etc. International networking opportunities.
Oversees activities are minimal. In the first year, a small delegation went to Osaka, Japan and Paris, France. CAR entertained visitors from New Zealand, South Australia, Japan and Mainland China. Typically, these activities are not financed by CAR.
