Taking the view that even a single allegation of discrimination is one too many, the Lehigh Valley Association of REALTORS® in Pennsylvania worked with community groups to institute a hard-hitting campaign to educate its members about Fair Housing.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is teaming up with real estate professionals to promote a new free mobile app to allow users to instantly file housing discrimination complaints.

Get Involved

Here are some things you and your REALTOR® association can do to recognize Fair Housing Month:

  • Sponsor a local Fair Housing Month poster contest. Afterward, make association calendars out of the artwork.
  • Publish the REALTOR® Fair Housing Declaration and post it in your office and/or association.
  • Use the Fair Housing Proclamation and have your local government proclaim April as Fair Housing Month.
  • Display the 2017 Fair Housing Focus Poster in your office and/or association.
