Pitch Battle at the REALTOR® Party Training Conference

Location: Philadelphia, PA | November 29 - December 1, 2022

The purpose of the REALTOR® Party Training Conference Pitch Battle is to offer a platform for registered attendees to share what the REALTOR® Party brand means to them. By sharing these testimonials, the Pitch Battle hopes to inspire other RPTC attendees to feel empowered by the REALTOR® Party difference, position themselves as REALTOR® Party advocates in their local communities, and achieve their REALTOR® advocacy ambitions.

Important Dates for the Pitch Battle

  • Applications Open: October 10, 2022
  • Applications Due: November 1, 2022
  • Final 5 contestants will be notified that they will “pitch” by November 18, 2022
  • Live, in-person REALTOR® Party Training Conference Pitch Battle on November 30, 2022. Final presenters must be available for an in-person rehearsal on November 29, 2022.

The winner will be determined by audience vote to be awarded the following prizes:*

  • 1st place: $1,000 
  • 2nd & 3rd place: $500 each
  • 4th & 5th place: $250 each

*The prizes are subject to and incorporated into these Terms and Conditions. The grant listings may be supplemented or modified from time to time in NAR’s sole discretion.

How It Works

Attendees who wish to participate must complete a brief application and submit their one-minute video via the online form. Submissions were due November 1, 2022 and are being evaluated according to the submission criteria.

Prizes

The winner will be determined by a live audience vote to be awarded the following prizes*:

  • 1st place: $1,000
  • 2nd & 3rd place: $500 each
  • 4th & 5th place: $250 each

Judges & Finalists

A panel of judges will choose five finalists to present their testimonials live to their peers at the Pitch Battle, scheduled for November 30, 2022 during the 2023 REALTOR® Party Training Conference.

Submission Criteria

In order to be eligible to compete for the RPTC Pitch Battle prizes, you must submit the following:

  • a video submission, as described below,
  • be a selected contestant,
  • participate in and attend all 2023 RPTC Pitch Battle related events and,
  • be a registered attendee for the 2023 RPTC as a Pitch-Battle attendee in-person.
 

As described in the Terms and Conditions, the RPTC Pitch Battle winner will be required to provide any requested proof of eligibility and to sign additional paperwork in order to be formally declared winners and to claim prizes.

Video Submissions
  • Video submissions must be recorded and delivered by the registered attendee
  • Video submissions may not be longer than one (1) minute in length
  • The “Presenter” must clearly demonstrate what the REALTOR® Party brand means to them and how it benefits REALTOR® members and associations. Applicants may consider focusing on one (or more) of the following objectives while delivering their pitch:
    • Demonstrate how REALTORS® leverage REALTOR® Party programs to advance issues important to REALTORS® and the real estate industry
    • Show how the REALTOR® Party supports pro-REALTOR® candidates (REALTOR® Party Champions)
    • Describe why you support the REALTOR® Party – VOTE, ACT, INVEST

Details for Applicants
  • Applicant must be willing to publicly share their pitch with other REALTOR® associations and in marketing and promotional materials distributed by NAR.
  • The online application may be submitted by a RPTC registered attendee.
  • Applications may be made available to a respective, relevant state association and/or NAR for vetting and legal purposes.
  • The five finalists (also known as Contestants) will be expected to present their “pitch”, live and in-person, at the 2023 REALTOR® Party Training Conference in front of their peers.
  • The finalists must be available for a planning call, one week prior to the RPTC, plus one rehearsal, onsite at the Marriott Downtown Philadelphia.
