American Dream Deferred: How Can We Keep Homeownership Within Reach?

NAR hosted its annual policy forum on Thursday, February 8, 2024, in Washington D.C.

The "American Dream Deferred: How Can We Keep Homeownership Within Reach?" discussion united housing and economic experts, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to address the challenges hindering homebuyers. We delved into the historic housing inventory shortage, high interest rates, regulatory obstacles, lending issues, and excessive fees that make homeownership seem unattainable for many communities. Together, we explored solutions to make housing available and affordable to all, including discussing tax policies, technology, innovation, and more in the housing sector.
