At the inaugural iOi Summit in 2018, Second Century Ventures (NAR’s Strategic Investment Arm), hosted a start-up pitch battle where hundreds of startups applied and a select group of 16 tech startups competed live at the conference in front of attendees and a panel of judges. The premise was simple, make your pitch as to how you can improve the process of buying or selling residential real estate. The startups made their pitch and did live demos. The panel of judges composed of real estate practitioners, tech executives and venture capitalists viewed those pitches, asked questions, and provided feedback… all on stage in front of conference attendees.
BoxBrownie, an on-demand photo editing service for real estate, was selected by the judges as the winner of the 2018 start-up pitch battle and walked away with the prize of $15,000 cash, a booth at NAR Annual and article provided by RIS Media.
This year we’ll once again host the start-up pitch battle at the iOi Summit. Stay tuned to share how to apply to compete, the panel of judges for this years competition and what the prizes will be!
