Deborah Spangler (CRS, PMN, AHWD, C2EX), a REALTOR® from Montgomery, Texas, is the National Association of REALTORS® 2023 RPAC Major Investor Council Chair. She is broker-owner of Spangler Realty Group in Montgomery, and has been an active member since 2000.
At NAR, she also sits on the Board, and the 2023 RPAC Trustees Fundraising Committee. She was 2022 RPAC Major Investor Council Vice Chair, and a member at large from 2018 to 2020.
At Texas REALTORS®, Deborah serves as Business Issues Chair. She also served as 2019 chair of TREPAC, the largest trade association PAC in Texas, and celebrated with her committee members when they reached their goal of more than $5 million. In 2022, she continued to serve the state PAC as a Trustee at Large, overseeing the Corporate Ally Program; she enlisted former trustees to help make the ask in their regions. The program’s funds and the number of investors doubled in just two years. She is a Texas REALTORS® Regional Vice President for 2021-2023, and served in this capacity in 2018 and 2019.
She’s been involved in political affairs and TREPAC at her local association for over 10 years. She is Houston Association of REALTORS® Political Advisory Group Chair, for which she has conducted candidate interviews at the state and federal levels. In 2017, she served as local RPAC Chair.
In 2010, Deborah served as Texas State President for the Women's Council of REALTORS® where she gained greater understanding of how councils and associations can work together.
Deborah believes that educating members about the importance of being involved in their association, staying aware of the issues that affect their profession, and investing in the future of homeownership is vital to protecting the American dream.
Her commitment to RPAC’s mission is fueled by her desire to ensure that dream of homeownership is a reality for her eight grandchildren—and all those who seek it.
Deborah received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Houston and a master's degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She spent 10 years as the director of a private school before entering the real estate profession.
