The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) is in the process of publishing its Single Family Housing Policy Handbook. The policies in the new handbook become effective for case numbers assigned on or after June 15, 2015. On April 7, 2015, NAR sent a letter to FHA asking for a delay in the implementation of the Handbook. This would give lenders and appraisers more time to thoroughly review any policy changes and ensure systems are in place to properly implement the Handbook.
