2018 Mediator/Mediation Training Seminar
Seminar will be held at the National Association of REALTORS® building in Chicago, 430 N. Michigan Avenue, on the second floor, on September 5th, 6th, and 7th, 2018. The seminar is an intensive, two and a half day learning experience designed to enhance and refine existing mediation skills. The seminar features a full day of three-person mediation simulations guided by individual mediation coaches, and includes instruction and comprehensive support materials enabling participants to serve as mediators for the state and local associations. While spacing is limited, all REALTOR® staff and members are welcome even if you have had no formal mediation training.

2018 Professional Standards Education Seminar
The seminar delivers a variety of participatory exercises and role-plays to give hands-on experience to attendees who serve on grievance committees, professional standards hearing panels, and appeal and procedural review tribunals. Invaluable information provided for administrators, as well. While spots are limited, registration is still open for all who are interested in attending. Seminar participants will be eligible for credit toward the RCE designation or toward re-certification.

Application Deadline: REALTOR® Emeritus
· October 2nd is the deadline to complete certification forms for REALTOR® Emeritus status, which recognizes REALTOR® and REALTOR®-Associate members with 40 years of continuous membership along with committee service participation. REALTOR® Emeritus qualifications are changing soon ! The REALTOR® Emeritus program is a special membership status honoring those REALTORS® who have maintained their membership for 40 years or more. Emeritus members receive a certificate and pin to show their status, payment of National Association dues is waived for the remainder of their membership, and they are exempt from the Code of Ethics Training requirement. FOR 2019 ONLY, members may qualify for Emeritus status if they 1) Have held membership in the National Association as a REALTOR®, REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®, or both, for a cumulative period of forty (40) years; AND 2) have completed at least one (1) year of service at the National, state or local level. Beginning in 2020, the service qualification will change so that at least one (1) year of service at the National level only will be accepted for Emeritus status. Service at the state or local level will not be considered. 2019 is your last opportunity to apply for REALTOR® Emeritus status with the state or local service requirement. NAR Global Achievement Program Applications Open
The Global Achievement Program is designed to recognize and reward the most active associations in global business. Each association's global council's activity is evaluated in 5 areas: Business Plan, Marketing & Communication, Events/Education, Outreach and Benchmarking. Participating councils are divided into four status classifications based on their level of activity: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Those councils achieving each status classification are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and announced by the National Association of REALTORS® Global Business and Alliances Group (NAR Global). A council's status year begins at NAR's REALTORS® Conference & Expo. Application opens on August 15, 2018 and the deadline is September 14, 2018.
