Daily Real Estate News  |  June 19, 2007  |   Practitioner Finds Remains of 21 Dogs in House
A Bradford Township, Pa., real estate practitioner who was hired to clean up a foreclosed house led police to discover the remains of 21 Great Danes.

The practitioner, Jack Buckles, told the Bradford Era that he found the first two dead Great Danes in a small building at the back of the property. "They had no way of getting out because the door leading to the kennel was nailed shut," Buckles said.

At that point, Buckles called the Bradford Township Police who found the rest of the animals in another boarded up building and in shallow graves throughout the property.

Police said the dogs were in varying degrees of decomposition and died three months to nine months ago.

The former owner of the property, who could not be located, bred Great Danes and her dogs had won awards in the past.
